Day6: Sree Yeshu Naamam
(The Name above everything)
A state of oblivion is defined as ‘the state of being completely forgotten... or the state of being unaware/unconscious.’

There is this story of a man who was kinda living in that state of oblivion. He was born lame. He had never known what it is to just walk! Wrestling emotionally all of childhood and through his teen years, he had now come into that state of oblivion where his lameness wasn’t really a problem anymore – it had become his identity. He had accepted that his world is different from others…accepted that it will always be this way.

A state of oblivion - A world of greyed-out buttons. Nothing clicks.

Into this world, one day walked in 2 men who spoke of things unheard of. Things that ignited something new within people. Something that tasted like hope. The 2 men – filled with the glory and awesomeness of another world – where HOPE was an everyday language and miracles were a norm - glanced over at the lame man begging them for alms, and one of them responded - “Silver or gold, I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” (Ref Acts 3:6)
And? The man born lame – WALKED!

Exactly the way a few months earlier, the bearer of the Name Himself asked a man born blind – “What do you want me to do for you?” And as soon as the blind man spoke out the impossibility of his life – “I want to see” – it was done! Just like that.
Wait! How? What’s the deal here?

The limitless-ness in the name of Jesus is the deal here. There is simply just no end-line. No boundary that says – “only this far / only this much / only this time.”

The first line of this song, ‘Sree Yeshu naamam adhisheya naamam’ – translated as ‘The name Jesus, such a marvelous name’ roars out the fiery celebration of the name that can bring back to life – the forgotten, the unaware, the lost and the impossible! It’s an echo of heaven; it’s a victory chant!

State your oblivion. State your impossibility. Place it before that Name.

Doesn’t matter if you thought it’ll always be like this. Doesn’t matter if the greyed-out life is what you’ve ever known. It isn’t about what you have endured in the past – it is about your NOW! Right this moment. LIFE stands before you and asks – What do you want Me to do for you? What would you say?

Prayer:
Lord, I come to you today, knowing that I am yours. Give me faith to believe that you hold the universe in your hands. Help me to approach your throne with the confidence that your name is greater than my sickness and my circumstances. Lord, I’m thankful that you are for me and not against me. I surrender my life into your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Scriptures:
John 14:14 (NLT)
“Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”

Philippians 2:9-11 (NLT)
“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
